Placements24 is seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer to join a remote-first telecoms team. You will design, implement, and maintain VoIP infrastructure, ensuring high-quality voice services for a broad client base.

The role requires 3+ years in VoIP engineering, with strong SIP/RTP knowledge and PBX/SBC experience. Remote work with flexible hours, competitive pay, and development opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of VoIP engineering and IP telephony experience.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, RTP, H.323, and other VoIP protocols.
• Experience with PBX systems (e.g., Asterisk, FreeSWITCH) and SBCs.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, QoS, and firewalls.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or CCNA Voice are a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for remote support.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VoIP systems, including PBX, gateways, and SBCs.
• Configure and maintain telephony services, ensuring call quality and availability.
• Troubleshoot VoIP issues, including call quality, registration, and network connectivity.
• Implement and manage security measures for VoIP networks to prevent toll fraud.
• Develop and maintain documentation for VoIP systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with network and systems teams to ensure integration.
• Monitor VoIP system performance and resource utilization.
