Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Telecom Systems Engineer to join our remote, globally distributed team. You will design, deploy, and maintain our telecom infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 5–7 years of hands-on telecom experience, and certifications such as CCNA/CCNP or CompTIA Network+. Strong VoIP (SIP/H.323) and IP networking skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
5–7 years of hands-on telecommunications systems engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols (SIP, H.323), telephony signaling (SS7), and IP networking.
Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation are advantageous.
Exellent problem-solving and ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage telecom systems including VoIP and IP telephony.
Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize for high availability.
Develop and maintain system documentation and diagrams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems.
Troubleshoot complex issues to maintain service continuity.
Stay updated on industry trends to improve the network.
