Placements24 is seeking a Telecommunications Systems Specialist to join a fully remote workforce in South Africa. You will design, implement, and support telecom systems, including PBX and VoIP, helping teams and customers nationwide with reliable voice and data services.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on PBX/VoIP experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with cloud-based UC platforms. This role offers remote collaboration, ongoing learning, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience with PBX systems, VoIP technologies, and network infrastructure.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting telecommunications hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with cloud-based communication platforms and unified communications solutions.
• Excellent communication and remote technical support skills.
• Strong organizational skills for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain telecommunications systems (PBX, VoIP, related hardware/software).
• Monitor system performance and perform proactive maintenance to prevent downtime.
• Respond to and resolve technical support requests promptly.
• Develop and update technical documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to upgrade systems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security best practices.
