Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Telecoms Systems Administrator to join a fully remote IT team responsible for maintaining critical telecom systems. You will install, configure, and upgrade server OS (Windows/Linux) and related telecom applications, monitor performance, and implement robust security measures.

The role requires strong virtualization knowledge (VMware/Hyper-V), scripting ability (PowerShell/Bash), and expertise with DNS/DHCP/Active Directory.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in telecoms or critical infra.
• Strong knowledge of server OS (Windows/Linux) and virtualization.
• Experience with automation scripting (PowerShell/Bash) is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
• Excellent troubleshooting and remote work capability.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade server OS and telecom apps.
• Monitor performance, availability, and resource usage; address issues proactively.
• Implement security measures: firewalls, patching, access controls, AV.
