Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Remote VoIP Engineer to design, implement, and manage the company's VoIP infrastructure, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance for a distributed workforce.

You will work entirely remotely, handle SIP/H.323/RTP configurations, collaborate with IT and network teams, and drive disaster recovery and continuity planning for VoIP services while supporting cross-border communication needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• At least 5 years of VoIP engineering and deployment experience.
• Deep knowledge of VoIP protocols, codecs, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with unified communications platforms and PBX systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and remote-work communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain VoIP systems and infrastructure, including PBX, softswitches, and gateways.
• Configure and manage VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
• Monitor VoIP network performance, troubleshoot call quality issues, and implement solutions for optimization.
• Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans for VoIP services.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP with other communication platforms.
• Provide expert support for escalated VoIP-related issues and manage vendor relationships.
