Placements24 is seeking a Remote Technical Support Specialist to join a fully remote IT services team. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for clients across industries.

You will use remote tools, document steps, and escalate when needed. Strong problem-solving, clear communication, and reliable home setup are essential. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are a plus.

A quiet, dedicated home office and high-speed internet are mandatory.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of hardware, OS (Windows/macOS/Linux) and common software.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and remote troubleshooting tools.

You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations. Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical support to end-users experiencing hardware, software, or network issues.

• Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical staff or specialized teams according to defined procedures.
• Provide guidance and training to users on basic IT best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware, software, and network technologies.
• Contribute to the improvement of support processes and the creation of knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar technical role.
• Strong understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and common software applications.
• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, RDP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Self-motivated and able to manage workload effectively in a remote environment.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable home office setup are mandatory.
• Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
