Placements24 is seeking a Remote Technical Artist to bridge art and tech, optimizing assets for real-time rendering and building efficient pipelines. You will craft complex shaders, optimize models and textures, and collaborate with art and engineering to ensure stunning, performant visuals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a Technical Artist, strong 3D/texture skills, shader and scripting expertise, and experience with Unreal Engine or Unity in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Artist in the game development industry.
• Proficiency with 3D modeling and texturing software (Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, Photoshop).
• Experience with Unreal Engine and/or Unity.
• Shader development experience (HLSL, Shader Graph).
• Scripting in Python, MEL, or C#.
• Understanding of rendering pipelines and real-time optimization.
• Strong problem-solving and remote-work collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize 3D art assets for real-time rendering in game engines.
• Create and implement advanced shaders, materials, and visual effects.
• Improve art content pipelines for efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with art and engineering to resolve technical art issues.
