Placements24 is seeking a Senior Technical Artist to bridge art and technology, optimizing pipelines and empowering artists with innovative tools. You will work closely with artists and engineers to ensure high-quality asset creation and implementation across real-time pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years in game development as a Technical Artist, strong shading and scripting skills, and hands-on experience with Unreal Engine or Unity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development.
• Strong scripting ability in Python, MEL, or C# and shader development in HLSL/GLSL.
• Solid understanding of 3D modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation principles.
• Experience integrating assets in game engines (Unreal/Unity).

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain art pipelines and tools to boost artist efficiency and asset quality.
• Troubleshoot asset integration, shaders, materials, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement new engine features and workflows for artists.
• Create and refine shaders, materials, and visual effects for real-time applications.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the art team while adhering to project specs.
