Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Technical Artist for a fully remote role. You will bridge art and tech, crafting efficient shader workflows, building tools, and optimizing real-time rendering pipelines for high-fidelity visuals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical artistry, a strong shader portfolio, and experience with HLSL/GLSL, Unreal Engine, and Unity. Expect collaboration with artists and engineers across projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years as a Technical Artist in games.
• Portfolio showing shader development and tool creation.
• Proficient in shader languages and shader graph editors.
• Experience in C++, Python or C# and modern rendering pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and deploy advanced shaders for multiple platforms.
• Create and maintain custom tools and scripts to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with artists and engineers to solve visual challenges.
• Integrate new rendering features and optimize engine performance.
• Troubleshoot shader and tool issues and document workflows.
• Stay current with graphics tech and industry best practices.
• Provide training on art tools and pipelines; maintain quality.
• Contribute to visual direction and technical art milestones.
