Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Remote HR Generalist with a strong emphasis on Talent Management to join a distributed team across South Africa. This role centers on designing and delivering talent strategies, managing performance, succession planning, and leadership development in a remote-first environment.

You will partner with managers to drive engagement, coach teams, and ensure compliant HR practices while supporting onboarding and policy implementation for a national workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–6 years of HR experience with emphasis on talent management and development.
• Experience implementing performance management, career pathing, and succession planning.
• Experience in remote or distributed work environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management in virtual settings.
• Knowledge of South African labor law and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of HR generalist responsibilities including employee relations, policy implementation, and HRIS management.
• Lead design and execution of talent management programs including performance appraisal systems, development plans, and leadership training.
• Develop and implement succession planning to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
• Support managers in fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and development.
• Drive engagement initiatives for a remote workforce and ensure smooth onboarding for new hires.
• Conduct HR investigations and provide guidance on employee relations matters in compliance with labor laws.
• Analyze HR data related to talent management and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Contribute to development and refinement of remote-first HR policies and procedures.
