Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience designing electrical substations.
• Proficient in CAD software, especially AutoCAD Electrical.
• Strong knowledge of protection, grounding and lightning protection.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed substation designs including single-line diagrams and layouts.
• Specify transformers, switchgear, breakers, and busbars.
• Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis and protection design.
• Ensure designs meet SANS, IEC standards and client specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical and procurement teams; support site verification.
