Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with power systems focus.
• 7+ years of substation engineering experience.
• Pr.Eng registration is a strong plus.
• On-site full-time work in Vereeniging.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify electrical equipment for substation projects, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Oversee the construction, installation, and commissioning of new substations and upgrades.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance and testing programs for substation assets.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in substation equipment and systems, implementing timely and effective repairs.
• Conduct site inspections and safety audits to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project status updates for management.
• Collaborate with field crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
