Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Substation Design Engineer to join our remote engineering team. You will design and develop electrical substations, ensuring safe, reliable transmission and distribution of power while collaborating with project managers, field engineers, and clients from a home-based office.

You will create detailed designs, CAD drawings, and protection schemes for high‑voltage substations, participate in site assessments, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in substation design with high-voltage expertise.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and ETAP; strong remote teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed designs for high-voltage substations, including layout and protection schemes.
• Create single-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings using CAD.
• Specify electrical equipment and perform site assessments during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security regulations.
