Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Solar Energy Analyst to join its distributed team in South Africa. You will evaluate the economic viability and technical performance of solar installations, working from a home office to guide investment decisions.

You will analyze resource data, build financial models (DCF), and prepare reports for investors and developers using PVSyst, Helioscope, and advanced Excel. Remote collaboration with internal and external teams is essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in solar energy analysis or similar.
Proficient in solar modeling software (PVSyst/Helioscope) and advanced Excel.
Strong financial modeling, including DCF analysis and investment metrics.
Excellent report writing and data visualization skills.
Ability to work remotely and autonomously.

Responsibilities

Analyze solar resource data, energy production estimates, and system performance metrics.
Develop and maintain financial models to assess project economics and ROI.
