Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical Remote Wind Energy Analyst to join their forward-thinking team. This fully remote position involves in-depth analysis of wind resource data, turbine performance, and energy market dynamics to support wind power projects in South Africa.

You will work with large datasets, using modeling techniques to provide insights for investment and operations. The role requires strong quantitative skills and a deep understanding of wind energy economics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field is required.
• Minimum 4 years of wind energy analysis or related modeling experience.
• Proficiency with wind modeling software and data analysis tools (Python, R, MATLAB).

Responsibilities

• Analyze wind resource data to assess site potential and optimize turbine placement.
• Develop wind energy production models to forecast output and financial returns.
• Evaluate performance of existing wind farms and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct market analysis related to energy prices, policy incentives, and competitive landscapes.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate virtually with engineering, development, and finance teams to support project lifecycle.
