Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a visionary Social Impact Program Director in South Africa to guide strategic direction and execution of social impact initiatives. This senior leader will oversee multiple programs, drive partnerships with government and corporate partners, and ensure data-driven approaches to maximize social outcomes.

The role requires 7–10 years of leadership in the nonprofit sector, strong budgeting, and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years in progressive leadership of complex social impact programs.
• Proven track record in strategic planning, program development and execution.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and resource mobilization.
• Strong budgeting and financial management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Deep understanding of social equity and development economics relevant to Rustenburg/North West.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for social impact programs.
• Oversee design, execution, and evaluation of all social impact projects.
• Manage program budgets with efficient resource allocation.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of program managers and staff.
• Cultivate relationships with government agencies, partners, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for program expansion and partnerships.
• Ensure programs are data-driven and outcomes-focused.
• Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track impact.
• Represent the organization in public forums and media.
• Stay updated on trends in social impact and nonprofit sector.
• Oversee grant writing and reporting to secure funding.
• Foster a culture of innovation, learning, and continuous improvement.
