Placements24 is recruiting a Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst for a fully remote role serving clients across South Africa. The position emphasizes real-time monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity threats using advanced tools.

You will work from anywhere in SA with support for remote operations. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity/CS/IT or equivalent, with 1–3 years in SOC, and hands-on SIEM experience (Splunk/ArcSight/ELK).

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity/CS/IT.
• 1–3 years in a SOC or security monitoring role.
• Hands-on with SIEM tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, ELK Stack.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Analyze incidents, triage, and investigate malicious activity.
• Respond to alerts per procedures and escalate critical incidents as needed.
• Investigate threats with security tools and gather forensic evidence.
• Document all incidents, investigations, and responses thoroughly.
• Contribute to SOC playbooks and standard operating procedures.
