Placements24 is seeking a Senior Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst for a fully remote role in South Africa. You will monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats across networks and endpoints, helping defend critical assets in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in CS or Cybersecurity, at least 4 years in SOC, proficiency with SIEM (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR, and knowledge of TTPs.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years in a SOC or security analysis role.
• Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions.
• Strong understanding of attack vectors, malware, and TTPs.
• Analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Certs like CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR to identify threats.
• Analyze incidents, determine root cause, containment and eradication actions.
• Develop threat detection rules and incident response playbooks.
• Perform threat hunting to identify sophisticated threats.
• Document incidents and produce detailed remediation reports.
• Mentor junior SOC analysts and improve SOC processes.
