Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a remote-first engineering firm in finding a Senior Water Resources Engineer to lead design and management of water infrastructure projects. You will oversee hydrological modeling, stormwater systems, and water/wastewater designs, while coordinating with clients and regulators from anywhere.

Requirements include a Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, a PE license, and 9+ years of progressive water resources experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a Water Resources focus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• At least 9 years of progressive water resources experience in design and PM.
• Experience with hydrological analysis, hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and stormwater design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS; strong regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design and analysis of water resources projects.
• Prepare design reports, specs, drawings and construction documents.
• Conduct site assessments and environmental impact analyses.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and remote client communications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and regulators.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal standards.
• Develop innovative water conservation, flood control and pollution solutions.
• Perform peer reviews of designs and calculations.
• Contribute to proposals and business development for water services.
