Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a fully remote position based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. You will lead cost estimation, tender management, and contract administration across diverse construction projects, ensuring budget adherence and value engineering.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in quantity surveying, strong commercial acumen, and proficiency with cost estimating software. Domestic remote work with opportunities for professional development are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline.
Professional qualification or SACQSP membership desirable.
8+ years' experience in quantity surveying in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
Manage tender processes, evaluate bids, negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
Administer contracts, manage variations, claims, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs with regular reports and forecasts.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses.
Advise on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and financial regulations.
Manage payment applications and timely settlements.
Conduct site visits to verify progress and assess claims.
Maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
