Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
• Registered with SACPVP or SACQSP is highly desirable.
• 7+ years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably on KwaZulu-Natal projects.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized construction consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding team. This role is fully remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within South Africa, with a primary focus on supporting projects within the Durban, KwaZulu-Natal region and beyond. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction and civil engineering projects, from initial estimates to final account. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards of financial control. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
• Professional registration with the South African Council for the Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP) or SACQSP is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to projects in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Strong proficiency in measurement software (e.g., CostX, Candy) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent understanding of JCT, NEC, or FIDIC contract forms.
• Demonstrated ability in cost estimation, contract negotiation, and financial management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for remote collaboration.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
