Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and manage robust PSM systems remotely across multiple facilities. The role emphasizes hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation to prevent accidents and uphold safety standards.

You will lead PHAs, RCAs, and training programs while ensuring regulatory compliance and fostering a proactive safety culture in a virtual work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in process safety engineering within chemical/petrochemical industries.
• In-depth knowledge of PSM elements and methodologies (HAZOP, LOPA, SIL).
• Experience conducting and facilitating PHAs and incident investigations.
• Strong ability to communicate safety information remotely and influence stakeholders.
• PE certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Process Safety Management programs per OSHA PSM and EPA RMP.
• Conduct PHAs (HAZOP/What-If/FMEA) and lead RCA.
• Lead risk assessments and mitigation for chemical processes.
• Audit operations for PSM compliance and continuous improvement.
• Deliver remote process safety training to personnel and engineers.
• Review MOC and engineering designs to ensure process safety.
• Promote safety culture through remote engagement.
