Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Safety Engineer for a fully remote role. The candidate will lead PHAs, develop robust PSM programs, and provide expert guidance on inherent safety across global facilities.

With 8+ years in process safety within chemical/oil & gas sectors, you will drive risk reduction, review designs, and mentor teams while staying current with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in process safety for chemical/petrochemical/oil & gas.
• Experience leading PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA).
• Knowledge of PSM standards (OSHA PSM, Seveso).

Responsibilities

• Lead PHAs such as HAZOP/LOPA/What-If for new and existing processes.
• Develop and maintain Process Safety Management programs per international standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Provide guidance on inherent safety design principles.
• Review process designs, procedures and MOC for safety impacts.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
• Deliver process safety training to engineers and operators.
• Stay updated on evolving process safety regulations and practices.
• Collaborate with facilities and management to implement safety initiatives.
• Contribute to company safety standards and procedures.
