Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead PHAs and advance global process safety management from a remote setting. You will guide facilities worldwide, drive hazard analyses, and enforce regulatory compliance with strong analytical and communication skills.

You will develop training, conduct audits, and mentor teams while shaping safety strategies that elevate operational integrity and culture across the group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in process safety engineering within chemical/ petrochemical/ refining industries.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and other relevant international safety regulations.
• Professional certification in process safety (e.g., CCPSC) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate PHAs (HAZOP, What-If, LOPA) for various chemical processes.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Conduct safety audits and assessments of facilities with recommendations for improvement.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Provide technical guidance on process safety to global engineering and operations teams.
• Develop and deliver process safety training modules for personnel.
• Stay current with evolving process safety regulations and standards.
• Review designs for new facilities/modifications to ensure safety integrity.
• Champion a proactive safety culture across the organization.
