Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Remote Senior Process Optimization Engineer to join a globally distributed team. The role focuses on optimizing chemical processes through data analytics, simulation, and strategic implementation from anywhere in the world.

You will lead virtual collaborations with site engineers, drive pilot studies, and deliver clear recommendations while ensuring safety and environmental compliance. A master’s or PhD and 10+ years of experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of process engineering experience with a focus on optimization.
• Proficiency with process simulation tools (Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistics (JMP, Minitab).
• Strong ability to work independently in a remote, multi-project environment.
• Excellent communication and virtual collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process data from multiple sites to identify optimization opportunities.
• Develop and implement process improvement strategies using modeling and statistics.
• Collaborate virtually with site engineers and R&D teams to validate changes.
• Design and oversee pilot studies or plant trials remotely.
• Develop reports and present findings to senior management and site teams.
• Ensure optimizations comply with safety, environmental standards, and company goals.
