Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Chemical Process Engineer with a specialization in Optimization to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on enhancing efficiency, yield, and sustainability of chemical manufacturing processes through data-driven analysis and strategic improvements.

You will identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and implement solutions that drive significant operational gains, working collaboratively with other engineers in a virtual environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience focused on process optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus) and statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab).
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing chemical processes to identify opportunities for efficiency, yield, and cost improvements.
• Develop and implement optimization strategies using statistical analysis, modeling, and simulation tools.
• Design and conduct pilot studies to test and validate process improvements.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operations teams to implement and monitor optimized processes.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for optimized processes and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Track KPIs related to process efficiency and sustainability.
