Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Optimization Engineer for a fully remote role. You will drive efficiency across industrial applications, identifying bottlenecks, designing solutions, and implementing sustainable improvements in a remote-first environment.

You will lead cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and communicate progress to senior management. A strong background in lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven optimization is required to enhance productivity and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related field; Master's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive industrial engineering experience with emphasis on process analysis, optimization and implementation.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering complex process improvement projects.
• Proficiency in process modeling/simulation software (Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python).
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) and Total Quality Management principles.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing industrial processes to identify efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
• Develop and implement process improvement strategies using lean/six sigma and related frameworks.
• Design, test, and deploy new workflows to optimize production and operations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and R&D teams for integration of optimized processes.
• Create detailed process documentation: SOPs, flowcharts, performance metrics.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on findings and progress.
• Mentor junior engineers on optimization initiatives.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in industrial engineering.
