Placements24 is seeking a Senior Industrial Process Optimization Engineer to lead data-driven efficiency improvements across a national logistics network. This remote-first role emphasizes analytical problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and optimization project management.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in industrial engineering or process optimization within logistics, proficiency in simulation tools, and strong communication skills for remote teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in industrial engineering, process optimization, or operations analysis, preferably logistics.
• Proficiency in simulation software (AnyLogic, Arena, FlexSim) and data tools (SQL, Python, R, Excel, Minitab).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative modeling skills.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methods.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing operational processes in logistics and distribution centers to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement process optimization initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, TOC.
• Use data analysis and simulation to evaluate changes and predict outcomes.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, and workflows.
• Document SOPs and best practices for operational efficiency.
• Monitor KPIs and data to track improvements and challenges.
• Collaborate remotely with site managers and operations teams to sustain changes.
• Conduct time, motion, and workflow studies for productivity gains.
• Prepare reports and presentations detailing findings and results.
• Stay updated on logistics tech and optimization strategies.
• Support development and implementation of new systems and technologies.
