Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our remote team focused on optimizing mineral processing operations. You will leverage data analysis and process modeling to improve recovery, efficiency, and profitability across plants.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering with 7+ years’ experience and proficiency in METSIM, JKSimFloat, and HSC Chemistry. Remote work with a focus on innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral processing plant operations and process design.
• Proficiency in process simulation software METSIM, JKSimFloat, HSC Chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize mineral processing circuits to maximize metal recovery and throughput.
• Develop process simulation models to predict performance, identify bottlenecks, and test optimization strategies.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Design and oversee pilot plant studies and full-scale plant trials for new processes or equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, mass and energy balances, and operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with plant operations, engineering, and R&D teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
