Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Power Systems Analyst to join a remote team focused on grid integration challenges for renewable energy and distributed resources. You will conduct complex simulations, master stability studies, and craft solutions to enhance grid reliability and capacity.
The role requires deep expertise in power systems engineering, strong communication, and leadership to guide junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Power Systems Engineering.
- 10+ years in power system analysis, grid integration.
- Expertise with PSS/E, PSCAD, EMTP-RV.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed power flow, short-circuit, and dynamic stability analyses of the transmission and distribution grid.
- Develop models and simulations for grid integration of large-scale renewable energy projects.
- Identify and analyze grid constraints and develop mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to the development of grid codes and technical requirements for new energy resources.
- Collaborate with utility engineers, regulators, and stakeholders on grid interconnection studies.
- Author technical reports and present findings to internal teams and external clients.
