Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a fully remote, global product development team. You will lead design and refinement of mechanical systems from concept through market launch, leveraging deep expertise to solve complex challenges.

You will mentor engineers, validate designs with simulations and prototyping, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams using virtual tools. A strong background in CAD/CAE and manufacturing processes is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years in mechanical product design with launches.
• Experience with CAD/CAE for complex assemblies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (Injection molding, CNC, 3D printing).
• Strong remote work and self-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of mechanical systems for new products.
• Validate designs via simulation, prototyping, and testing with remote facilities.
• Collaborate with electronics, software, and product teams using virtual tools.
• Create 3D models, drawings, and manufacturing specs.
• Research materials and manufacturing tech to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Mentor junior engineers throughout product development.
