Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of complex mechanical systems on a fully remote basis. You will guide project teams from concept through production, applying your extensive CAD/CAE expertise and problem-solving skills in a collaborative virtual environment.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior engineers, driving best practices, and championing new technologies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAE software (SolidWorks Premium, ANSYS, COMSOL).
• Strong understanding of materials, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, analysis, and validation of complex mechanical systems and components.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
• Develop detailed technical specifications, P&IDs, and complex 3D models using CAD software.
• Conduct advanced engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a virtual setting to drive product innovation.
• Champion adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance design processes.
