Placements24 is seeking a visionary Lead Mechanical Engineer with a passion for Industrial Design to work remotely. This senior role will shape the aesthetic and functional aspects of our new product lines, guiding projects from concept to market.

You will lead a small team of designers and engineers, mentoring colleagues and collaborating across marketing and product management to ensure a seamless user experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design.
• 10+ years of experience in product design with a focus on mechanical engineering.
• Proven expertise in 3D CAD modeling and rendering software.
• Strong portfolio showing integration of industrial design and mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of innovative mechanical products, focusing on form and function.
• Develop 3D models and detailed drawings for manufacturing, ensuring aesthetics and performance.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to define product vision and UX.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and industrial designers, fostering creativity.
• Oversee prototype development and testing to meet aesthetic and ergonomic targets.
• Stay updated on materials, manufacturing tech, and design trends.
