Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a globally distributed, fully remote team. You will drive the product development lifecycle from concept to detailed design and validation, delivering high-performance, manufacturable solutions.

The role demands a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering and 6+ years of experience, with expertise in Inventor, SolidWorks, or Creo, materials/ manufacturing processes, and advanced analysis.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo).
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and validation techniques.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; able to work autonomously.
• Proven ability to work remotely with high productivity and communication.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the design and development of complex mechanical components and systems, focusing on innovation and efficiency.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis, including FEA and CFD, to validate designs.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and specifications, ensuring clarity and accuracy for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with virtual cross-functional teams using advanced collaboration tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues during prototyping, testing, and production phases.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards, promoting best practices in remote engineering.
