Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead major infrastructure projects in a fully remote role. You will oversee planning, budgets, procurement, and compliance with safety and environmental standards across distributed teams while engaging with regulators and communities.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in infrastructure project management, strong leadership, and proven ability to manage multi-year timelines with remote teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects
• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
• Ability to manage remote teams across dispersed locations
• Strong knowledge of PM principles, methodologies, and tools
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
• Experience with budgets > R10 million and multi-year timelines

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of major infrastructure projects aligned with strategic objectives
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• Oversee procurement, vendor selection, and contract management for services and materials
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Develop risk management plans to mitigate challenges
• Coordinate with teams, regulators, and community stakeholders
• Report progress to stakeholders and drive continuous improvement
