Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer working remotely to contribute expertise to a range of complex infrastructure projects. You will interpret soil and rock data, develop foundation solutions, and provide technical oversight from a remote setting.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform peer reviews, and advise clients on geotechnical risks, campaigns, and mitigation strategies, leveraging advanced modeling tools and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of extensive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of complex project involvement.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA.
• Expertise in geotechnical modeling software (e.g., PLAXIS 3D, FLAC) and advanced analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert geotechnical analysis and design recommendations for diverse infrastructure and building projects.
• Interpret and validate data from site investigations conducted by field teams.
• Develop advanced foundation designs, slope stability analyses, and ground improvement strategies.
• Conduct peer reviews of geotechnical reports and designs prepared by others.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and field staff remotely through technical challenges.
• Advise project managers and clients on significant geotechnical risks and optimal solutions.
