Placements24 seeks an experienced Civil Engineer with a geotechnical specialization to work remotely across nationwide projects. You will apply soil mechanics knowledge to provide design recommendations and ensure project stability from your home office.

Key duties include conducting site investigations, designing foundations and earthworks, and preparing detailed reports. Strong communication and remote collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical focus.
• At least 7 years in geotechnical engineering.
• PrEng registration with ECSA.
• Proficient with geotechnical software (Plaxis, GeoStudio).
• Experience in ground improvement and slope stability analysis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical investigations including site assessments and soil testing.
• Design foundations, retaining walls and earthworks based on geotechnical evaluations.
• Prepare detailed geotechnical reports, calculations and recommendations.
• Collaborate remotely with project teams, clients and contractors.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, standards and environmental regs.
• Review laboratory results to inform design decisions for projects nationwide.
