Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead remote geotechnical projects worldwide. The role focuses on soil mechanics, foundation design, and advanced modeling to deliver robust, data-driven solutions in a remote environment.

You will plan investigations, analyze data, and collaborate with international teams to ensure safe, compliant design and timely delivery of high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 7+ years of geotechnical investigation, analysis and design experience.
• PE or CEng designation preferred.
• Experience with PLAXIS, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W and gINT.
• Strong knowledge of soil/rock mechanics and foundations.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead complex remote geotechnical projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute geotechnical investigations including site characterization.
• Analyze soil/rock data to determine engineering properties.
• Design foundations (shallow/deep), retaining walls, and earth structures.
• Perform slope stability analysis, seismic hazard assessment, and ground improvement.
• Develop geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and specs.
• Collaborate with managers, clients and regulators to ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage multiple remote projects.

Education

Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering
