Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to join a fully remote R&D team. You will analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data to uncover insights that drive therapeutic discovery and scientific innovation.

The role requires a Ph.D. or master's in a quantitative field and 5+ years in bioinformatics. Proficiency in Python or R, with ML and multi-omics experience, is essential for success in a flexible, globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master's in a quantitative field.
• 5+ years in computational biology or bioinformatics.
• Proficiency in Python or R and scientific libraries.
• Experience with large-scale data analysis and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement pipelines for multi-omics data analysis (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics).
• Develop statistical models and ML methods to identify biomarkers and predict therapeutic responses.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists and clinicians to interpret results and form hypotheses.
• Visualize complex biological data for diverse audiences.
• Contribute to internal tools and databases to enhance data management.
• Stay current with computational biology, bioinformatics and data science advances.
