Placements24 is seeking a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join a fully remote research and development team. You will analyze large-scale genomic and proteomic data and develop computational methods to advance biological research.

You will collaborate with biologists and data scientists worldwide, contribute to high-impact discoveries, and have access to HPC resources and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics or related quantitative field is required.
• 5+ years of professional bioinformatics research experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python or R and related libraries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and optimize bioinformatics pipelines for NGS data.
• Apply statistics and ML to extract insights from omics data.
• Collaborate with biologists and data scientists across the globe.
• Manage and curate large biological databases for research use.
• Develop algorithms and software tools for bioinformatics analyses.
