Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to join a globally distributed research team in a fully remote capacity. You will analyze large-scale omics datasets (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics) and build scalable pipelines to drive therapeutic discovery.

Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in computational biology or bioinformatics with omics data focus.
• Proficiency in Python or R and bioinformatics libraries/tools.
• Strong statistics knowledge and familiarity with ML algorithms.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Git preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for high-throughput sequencing data (NGS).
• Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets to identify biomarkers and targets.
• Collaborate with experimental biologists to design studies and interpret results.
• Develop robust data visualization tools and dashboards for scientific communication.
• Contribute to predictive modeling for drug response and patient stratification in remote settings.
