Placements24 in South Africa is seeking a Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer for a fully remote role across the country. You will lead design, planning, and oversight of roads, drainage, water and bulk earthworks, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable infrastructure.

The role requires a BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering with Pr Eng registration (ECSA) and at least 8 years of experience.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc or MEng/MSc in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of comprehensive civil infrastructure projects, including roads, earthworks, drainage, water, and sewer systems.
• Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents using relevant software.
• Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and impact analyses for new developments.
• Ensure designs comply with national and municipal standards, building regulations, and environmental requirements.
• Manage project lifecycles, including scope, budget, schedule, and quality control.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Collaborate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and regulatory authorities.
• Review and approve design submissions and provide construction support as needed.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.
