Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil Engineer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead design, development, and execution of infrastructure projects, with emphasis on roads, bridges, water supply, and wastewater systems.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage schedules and budgets, prepare technical reports, and ensure compliance with SA codes and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in design and management of major road, bridge, or water/wastewater projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and HEC-RAS.
• Strong knowledge of South African building codes, standards and environmental regulations.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design and analysis of civil engineering projects across infrastructure domains.
• Develop detailed plans, specs, and cost estimates for infrastructure developments.
• Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess project viability.
• Oversee project execution ensuring compliance with designs, standards and regs.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and contractors to ensure project success.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design teams.
• Manage project schedules and budgets, identifying and mitigating risks.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of best practices, emerging technologies and legislation.
