The ideal candidate holds a BEng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering, Pr.Eng with ECSA, and 8+ years of design experience with strong software skills (AutoCAD Civil 3D, MXRoads, OpenRoads, BIM).

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc Eng in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Pr.Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• 8+ years of progressive civil engineering design experience.
• Experience leading design teams remotely.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MXRoads, Bentley OpenRoads, and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of SA standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for remote work.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead conceptualization, design and detailed engineering of large-scale civil infrastructure projects nationwide.
• Perform complex calculations for road design, earthworks, drainage, and water/wastewater systems.
• Develop and review drawings, specifications, and technical reports to meet client requirements.
• Mentor a distributed team of civil engineers and technicians.
• Conduct quality control reviews and ensure compliance with SANS and best practices.
• Manage project documentation and maintain clear digital communication with teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate remotely with clients, contractors and regulators to address queries and approvals.
• Stay updated on latest trends in civil engineering design and software.
• Utilize design software and BIM tools for optimized project delivery.
