Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead the design and project management of civil infrastructure and mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Maintain oversight of budgets and schedules, collaborate with distributed teams via digital tools, and drive remote project success. Occasional site visits may be required to support critical milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Pr.Eng. registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive civil design and project management experience.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and related design tools.
• Strong remote-work communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design and execution of civil projects using advanced software.
• Manage timelines, budgets and resources remotely with oversight.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments, with occasional travel.
• Mentor junior engineers and supervise technical staff virtually.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and industry best practices.
• Coordinate cross-discipline teams across dispersed project teams.
