Job summary

Placements24 is recruiting a Senior Civil Engineer for a fully remote role across South Africa. You will lead design efforts, manage lifecycles, and deliver complex civil works with distributed teams and clients.

A strong professional background and proactive problem-solving are essential. Required: PrEng registration with ECSA, 8+ years in civil design and project delivery, and proficiency with Civil 3D, Revit, and Bentley tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering design and project delivery.
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration with ECSA is mandatory.
• Extensive experience with Civil 3D, Revit, and Bentley software.
• Proven ability to manage projects remotely with strong self-discipline and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the detailed design and development of civil infrastructure projects (roads, water, sanitation).
• Perform engineering calculations, analysis, and modeling using industry software.
• Prepare technical reports, design docs, tender docs, and project specs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to remote teams and junior staff.
• Oversee project execution remotely, ensuring quality, budget, and schedule adherence.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders via virtual channels to manage expectations.
