Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA is essential.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools.
• Experience managing large infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of South African standards and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex civil engineering projects, including road networks, water supply systems, and urban infrastructure.
• Conduct thorough site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports using industry-standard software.
• Oversee the project lifecycle from conceptualization through to construction and handover, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, environmental consultants, and project managers.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within financial constraints.
• Engage with stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies, to ensure project objectives are met and expectations managed.
• Champion best practices in civil engineering design and project management.
• Ensure all designs are compliant with environmental regulations and sustainability principles.
