Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Production Engineer for a fully remote role. You will oversee and optimize production processes, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement across our chemical manufacturing operations.

You will collaborate with R&D and plant teams, implement process improvements, analyze data for trends, and ensure safety and quality compliance while supporting scale-up from pilot to production in a flexible, remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in chemical production or process engineering.
• Proven experience in process troubleshooting, optimization, and scale-up.
• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing principles, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote technical oversight for chemical production operations.
• Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement areas.
• Develop and implement process optimization strategies to increase yield and reduce costs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues encountered by plant teams.
• Support scale-up of new chemical products and processes from pilot to commercial production.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality regulations in production activities.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operators to implement best practices and operational excellence.
• Develop and update SOPs and training materials.
• Participate in capital project reviews and provide input on equipment and process design.
• Monitor KPIs for production processes.
