Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote Chemical Process Engineer specializing in optimization to join a forward‑thinking team. You will analyze, model, and enhance chemical processes across global operations, driving efficiency and reducing costs in a remote, collaborative setup.

This role uses advanced simulation tools and data analytics to identify optimization opportunities, while working with distributed engineers and plant personnel to implement improvements and share training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; Master's preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process engineering with a strong focus on optimization and improvement.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, CHEMCAD) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Python, R).
• Solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a remote team environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze process data and performance metrics to identify key areas for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance process yields, reduce energy consumption, and minimize waste streams.
• Utilize process simulation software and data analytics to model process behavior and test optimization scenarios.
• Collaborate with plant personnel and global engineering teams to implement recommended process improvements.
• Document optimization strategies, results, and provide training materials as needed.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process optimization and digital transformation.
