Placements24 is seeking a Senior Process Optimization Engineer to drive significant improvements in chemical manufacturing processes. This fully remote role demands a proven track record in analyzing complex systems and implementing data-driven strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.

You will leverage advanced modeling, simulation, and data analytics to identify bottlenecks and optimization opportunities across production lines.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process optimization, simulation, and advanced process control.
• Expertise in Aspen Plus or ChemCAD and data analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of SPC and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams remotely.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills tailored for a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to optimize chemical processes using advanced analytical and modeling techniques.
• Develop and implement process control strategies to improve stability, yield, and throughput.
• Analyze large datasets from plant operations to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Utilize simulation software to model process changes and predict their impact before implementation.
• Collaborate with plant engineers and operations teams remotely to implement and validate optimization solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices in process optimization.
